On behalf of the Convocation Organising Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us at The Fine Edge of Dentistry Conference, formerly known as the RACDS Convocation, from 8-10 September 2022.  

Our theme ‘bringing dentistry disciplines together for optimal patient care’ will be woven throughout the Conference and fosters our mission to provide an educational home for dentists at all stages of their careers.  

To open the Conference on Thursday, 8 September 2022, the inaugural Opening Ceremony and President’s Welcome Reception will be held to officially admit and welcome our new Fellows and Members to the College. This occasion represents an opportunity to recognise and congratulate those who are new to the College along with those who have contributed significantly to the College.  

It is with excitement that I also announce our Conference, held on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September, will be co-located with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) Conference. This will provide you with a unique opportunity to benefit from the key learnings and powerful combination of general and specialty dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. 

With a dynamic and thought-provoking scientific program led by esteemed international and national speakers, you will feel inspired to embrace new ideas and discover the breadth of our profession. It is also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, network and make new friends. 

The 2022 Fine Edge of Dentistry Conference will adopt a hybrid delivery approach, whereby international delegates, who may not be able to attend in person, can attend virtually. This will allow for more flexibility and ensure our international audience remain connected.  

At the heart of the College is collegiality and now more than ever before, we need to come together to celebrate, to share, and to learn.
